The Love Child Chronicles

Beacon Theater

This is part of the lobby of the Beacon Theater in New York City. It is designed in a Neo-Grecian style, and features 30-foot bronze goddesses on either side of the stage.
The theater was designed by Walter Ahlschlager and opened in 1929.

Today, NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study had there private commencement exercises there. It was a grueling 3-hour event, that tested the patience of every person in the audience.

In a word: Boring.

All of my photos from inside the theater came out blurry, so I chose this one of the lobby for you.

My daughter is officially a college graduate. She is about to embark on a music career as a singer/songwriter. This summer, she plans to go "WOOF-ING" on an organic farm in either France or French Speaking Switzerland.

Quite a change from my college graduation, but far more interesting.
