Time, gentlemen please!

Last night and today I was at the first car launch event of 2015, hosted by Volkswagen for us to learn about and drive the new-generation Passat. It was based at a hotel near Leamington Spa.

For someone who travels a great deal for work, it is easy for the hotels we stay in to merge into a kaleidoscope of similarity, comfortable but not necessarily memorable. So I love it when a hotel has little individual distinguishing features. This one did.

My hotel room's bathroom was interestingly tiled in a bold Art Deco style, there were attractive piles of pebbles lined up alongside one of the glass-sided corridors, and there were some very artistic murals on some of the walls.

This one was alongside one of the hotel bars. What a novel way of saying 'Time, gentlemen please' when the hour is late!
