On the way back..

..from a trip to the dentist!

It's a 27 mile trip each way to the dentist in Lochinver. And he's only there 2 days a week. It was only a check up, and G and I had appointments together. The result is that G needs to go back to have a little work done in 4 weeks time. I have to go back in 5 weeks for some pre-crown work, 6 weeks for a filling, and 7 weeks to have the crown fitted..

There's a nice "all abilities" walk on the way back, suitable for wheelchairs. It's a nice walk, and I'm full of admiration for the designers. The path is fine gravel, and smooth. There are a couple of landing stages with access to boats, complete with shelters, and composting toilets.

The path gently follows the contours, eventually climbing gradually to a small hillock which gives a wonderful 360 degree panoramic view around Assynt.

On a cold, blustery, showery day, it was a nice stroll and breath of air. Met D and his wife from Stoer, and stood having a chat for a good few minutes.

Back home now, heating on, and fire lit. Don't have to go out again (except for a hastily arranged Development Company meeting!).

The storm is meant to reach it's peak during the small hours tonight. Fingers crossed..!! Gusts of up to 87 mph forecast tonight, 75 on Saturday and 67on Monday.. (XCWeather), while YR.NO rates it as Hurricane with winds of 33 m/s (around 75 mph)..
