Nicky and her Nikon

A bright Sunday

It was bright and sunny this morning, but quite cold. Gavin and I went for a long walk with Murdoch and ended up in the village where we got a take-away coffee - usually we would sit outside a coffee shop to have our coffee but it was too cold today and Murdoch is not allowed inside the cafes.

We then went out to a nice pub for a celebratory lunch for Adam, although to be honest we are not feeling too jolly about it knowing how hard the past few days have been for Luke.

At least Luke is feeling better from the vomiting bug, although it did spread around amongst the course leaders and participants for most of last week. He is enjoying his ski instructors' course although there is not enough snow and they are hoping for a good dumping of snow to arrive. It is physically quite tiring, as he is out skiing all day from 9am to 5pm. This week he will be skiing all day and then will be at lectures at night to get through the theory to pass level 1 of the ski instructors' course.

After the emotional stress of university offers last week I am looking forward to a quieter week this week. Gavin has now left to go to the US for the week, and I made sure he packed a warm coat and gloves as it is very cold in Boston and Chicago.
