How many Smarties in the glass?

I have always loved Smarties, do you remember the television advert with the strapline, "Smartie people are happy people"? - then the screen would fill with Smarties. 

When I first started working in the shop, as Christmas approached I would notice when the big tubes that they only do at Christmas arrived and tell my Mum - "The Smarties are in - hint, hint!" Ever since then, I still spot them and my Mum has always bought me a tube for Christmas!
