A winter walk by the Forth & Clyde Canal

Went out with the Tuesday Ramblers for a wee change - their walk this week started at the Castlecary Hotel, went through the Wardpark North Industrial Estate and onto the Wyndford Road before following the Forth & Clyde Canal along to the Underwood Lock. We retraced our steps to Cumbernauld Road before cutting up to Allandale and then back to the Castlecary for some warm drinks.

The threatened snow showers eased off just as we started our walk and held off for the rest of the morning. All-in-all it was a very pleasant morning out.
