Well hello there

The alarm went off at 5.30 this morning ahead of a day trip to Barcelona from Heathrow. It was a productive day, hosted by Honda to introduce the new CR-V to international motoring journalists. We had a technical briefing on arrival, and then drove the car for about two and a half hours on a variety of roads in the Spanish countryside.

The CR-V now has an efficient new 1.6 diesel engine that replaces the old 2.2 litre one. We sampled both the six-speed manual car and the nine-speed auto.

What you see here is something that inevitably caught my eye at the airport at 6.30 am. It was a bit of shock to walk through the interminable shopping mall that is a modern airport terminal and come face-to-bones with a skeleton. Especially one in spectacles. What was it doing there? Modelling the glasses, I presume!
