Red morning

This morning was bitterly cold, but vibrantly beautiful. I went out early to do a station run, taking my daughter to catch an early train, and then headed into the nature reserve to do a few dawn light car shots. As the sun rose over the icy fields it cast a blood red glow across the sky, which looked really beautiful. It seemed odd to see such warm coloured light when the air was freezing and the ground was so crunchy with ice.

Spent the rest of this morning doing a very chilly twin test car photoshoot. It was initially delayed by finding our usual car wash out of action due to being iced up. By the time we had gone elsewhere to get the cars cleaned, our chosen location was a bit too busy, but we eventually found a new one that was perfect. I'll be glad, though, when the weather is warmer and the sun is higher in the sky. Low winter sun casts some impossibly long shadows that we have to dodge around!
