The BirdWatchWeekend

This is the weekend when the Birdlife Finland has arranged the annual Bird watch in your garden happening. It is not a competition actually, but if you watch birds you can win for excample a camera... I added the link here for finnish blippers, if you like to read more about the happening.

The idea is to count the amount of birds and species during one hour in saturday or in sunday. Then tell to Birdlife Finland where you saw these birds, how many and when. This is the 10th BirdWatchWeekend in Finland ever.

I found some Eurasian Siskins under grandmother's bird feeder today...
So this is actually my contribution to the BirdWatchWeekend-saturday: 13 Eurasian Siskins and 3 Great Tits in Pälkäne at 14-15.00.

As we got back home, I played their singing to our budgies, and our own birds were so surprised about the siskins singing! ;)

Have a nice weekend!
