Oyster Catcher, no Oysters

This was taken at Crathes Castle about 15 miles from the sea, I doubt there are many oysters in the vicinity. One of the staff said it lives in the grounds so it must be a local and presumably lives on something other than oysters.

A brilliant sunny day today, and almost warm away from the sea. It was noticeable how the temperature rose heading inland. An afternoon wandering around the gardens of Crathes Castle before heading a carver dinner in Westhill. It was nice to get some sunshine and warmth, though it will probably drop down to freezing overnight.

Not the greatest photo this, and the camera focus is on the pebbles rather than the bird. My excuse, it was hopping around and I did not have time to reset the focus before he would fly away, which he (or she) did just after I had taken this.
