Je Suis Shaima

The face of Shaima Al-Sabbagh is already a symbol of the Egyptian Revolution's on-going fight.   You can read something of her last moments last Saturday, the eve of the fourth anniversary of the uprising.   She was shot by security forces across the road from Cafe Riche in Talaat Harb Street where I often eat and report from when I'm in Downtown.   She was lain on the pavement outside it briefly before being carried to another cafe terrace in search of help.   A customer there who was a doctor came to her aid but was powerless to do anything.    Both the doctor and the cafe manager were arrested.   Such is life - and death - in Cairo.
