A Perfect Storm

Dear Diary,

About 20" of fine, dry snow fell yesterday and although we had wind gusts of 30-40 mph I didn't loose power or satellite connection so...a perfect storm to me!

These little birds, finches I think, are waiting patiently for me to come out and clean off the feeding table and put out more seeds; which I did twice during the storm.  I love their bright yellow color against the blue and you can see the snow coming in sideways.  I marveled at their heartiness as they braved the snow and winds.

Now it is "digging out day".  Good thing I have help or I might be stuck inside here until spring thaw!
