Not Freezing Enough! (2015.031)

A call to be on the other side of Edinburgh (a 30 minute drive) by 08:15 on a Saturday was widely regarded in the Edinburgh Chap's household as akin to barbarism. We were all hoping for a snowfall, or a biting frost. Something to freeze the pitch and cause the game to be called off.

Sadly, it was not to be. We all trooped down, arrived on time. Wrapped in everything we could lay our hands on to ward off the +2 degrees Celcius. Those who didn't have cups of tea or coffee looked enviously upon those who did.

And so it was, with the cold biting, and the gloves costing me my dexterity, that I shot Emma.

Did you see how I set up the excuses for the horrendous blurring there?!

Emma's team won their match, as did the other George Watson's teams. A veritable rout of George Heriot's, in an Edinburgh derby. So, worth it in the end. But we were all glad to get back to our cars and reheat.
