Snowy Morning

The snow that fell overnight was still around but destined not to last.  I did go outside to get a few shots of what might be our only snow of the season, putting the macro lens on to get a close up of the crystals on the rosemary bush.   Although I have other shots which show the actual crystals in a bit more detail, I like the starkness of this one set against the grey-white sky.

Same bush back in July here.

If you haven't seen it already, you must see 'Testament to Youth'.  It is a stunning film and very moving - an interesting commentary of the  social attitudes of the time as well as an emotive portrayal of the realities of war.  Have a tissue handy!

Camera Club this evening with a print competition.  The theme is 'Alternative Viewpoint'.  One of the images I have put in is the Tower of Glasses with the title 'Half Full or Half Empty - it's just a matter of balance'.  I find it hard to convince people that the only Photoshop involved is a bit of tidying up of the background and the glasses are actually balanced!  Perhaps I should take the glasses along and do a demo!
