Line of Sight

Back in my Westminster days when I was up and down to London every week, I used to moan about how claustrophobic the city felt. it was flat and every view was blocked by buildings and more buildings. Unless you were down at the riverside there was no sense of openness at all.

The wind may whistle up and down the hilly streets of most of Scotland's towns and cities, but we're so lucky to be able to stand in the middle of our city centres and see out and beyond to the surrounding countryside. A busy intersection in Edinburgh - but the Forth and Fife within touching distance :-)
