Peastraw

This morning Doug & I carted over 100 bales of pea straw from our neighbours paddock back to our garden.  And let me tell you 100 bales is plenty for these two old backs!!  I took the opportunity of taking a blip (a good excuse for a break).  A couple of days ago this paddock was harvested for seed peas, and has been since baled.
There is a very good market for pea straw bales, making excellent mulch for the garden while suppressing weeds.  We have yet to spread the bales....for another day or two or three :)

See that dark cloud.....well sod it, not delivering any rain and its blown like the clappers all day.  Funnily enough, there was a little snowfall on yonder hills which was rather unexpected while we are experiencing drought conditions. Definitely cooler today and this evening too. Makes for better sleeping I'm hoping.

More drought !!!!
