St. Bartholomew Church of Herstelle

Last moment decision. Not to take the shadowy forest road, but to follow the sunny way to the riverside. There would be more people like us, this Sunday afternoon. But what could be more pleasant than a riverside stroll? Walk on, come on, W. would say. If you keep strolling and I must wait, untill your boring riverscapes are done...I wont get my horses over there  at the riding school.

How do you find a common Blip rhythm? Isn’t it a matter of giving&taking. More giving than taking of course. We saw another couple clearly out of touch with each other. He, the tall grumpy one, either staying behind for no special reason. Or taking the lead with power steps.
Both times she was hobbling with a complaining gesture in her helpless arms. Happily we were able to find our hands together. And we did sit down at a bench. Like you should on a sunny sunday afternoon.

The river floats. The predator bird spreads his wings in the blue sky, turning his circles. A train passes. The sky is full of misty stripes. Sometimes a fresh gust. Any moment could be felt as dull. But this is our life Now&Here. Its timeless when you walk. Look over there, that old town: On the mountain heights its castle and cloister, down at the Weser banks the white St. Bartholomew-Church. It still gathers the existential centre of daily life in this Westphalian town of Herstelle. In the fast floating stream a striped reflexion of the white tower. We love the sun and the silence here.
