Walk It

I hate the underground, actually that's an understatement... I detest it. Overcrowded, pushy, sweaty, unpleasant for starters.

London itself, certainly the centre is walkable. My train pulled into Liverpool Street and without hesitation my preference is to walk, today I walked to my hotel in Covent Garden, a pleasant stroll that takes me through the Barbican and via Smithfields.

London is a rush, especially during the week, however if you take time to occasionally look up it can still throw up unusual angles. Looking through a gap one of the Barbican Towers, I should have checked which one, rose majestically into the sky. It's an area that I've walked many times but there's always a new angle.
