Now that's how to spend your birth day.

Both proud parents were by the nest today as two signets hatched. There are two more intact eggs, so maybe more tomorrow... As is my usual luck, I had the wide angle lens on, luckily these two four were totally relaxed about my close proximity.

Strange warm sun-stuff in the air tonight. Sawed some bits off the apple tree. It needs strategic pruning to keep a healthy shape but it's reached that point where it's unclear which set of too-crowded branches to take out. Doing it bit-by-bit.

Finished reading Jaine Fenn's "Principles of Angels" - the first in the trilogy-ish of the Sidhe books. Highly recommended.

Oddly, I've read the books in reverse order (not deliberately, just happened to be given them in that order). Each book stands alone well, and, a bit like the film Memento, it actually works well in this order.

(I call it a triolgy-ish because book 2 doesn't follow book 1, but both lead into book 3.)
