Votive offerings

The last few days have been quite balmy with beautiful blue skies. As a result the Sands of Forvie National Nature Reserve has seen an unusually  large number of visitors, including many members of the Dog Worship Cult. Many of the cult followers so  enjoyed their visit to this wonderful place that they were moved to leave votive offerings to the Great Dog in the sky, in order to express their gratitude. The paths are now littered with offerings in pretty plastic bags of many wonderful colours green, white, brown, blue, pink and more. Some particularly devout worshippers have gone to great lengths to draw attention to their own offering by, as here, placing them at eye level on top of a fence post. I wonder what lies within these pretty little bags ....?

I can only think that they believe that there is a shit fairy who comes along each morning to collect their offerings. Morons!  Rant over!
