Derelict House

Last Thursday I was taking photos of beach chairs along a Florida beach. This week I am back to shooting derelict houses, in freezing cold temperatures.

I set out to shoot a property that I had done last fall but I took a different route to get there and fortuitously came across this gem. This appears to be a very old two-room house, viewed from the back which was a bit more interesting.  I love the crumbling stone foundation and the metal roof.  On both sides of the house, large trees have sprouted from underneath the foundation and are crowding out the house siding, roof and the plywood window covers. It looks like mother nature will definitely win this battle.
