Early blossom

Charlii has this wonderful early flowering shrub in her garden, and today she picked me a few flowers so I could take a few shots.
I have to confess I have no idea what it is, so if anyone has an idea of it's identity I would be most grateful. 
I am so sorry | am so behind with my commenting, now I am on half term I will try to catch up. Also, Now people seem to leave a star or a heart without commenting, I sometimes miss your compliment.
