Snow under the bridge

We had gone out for dinner tonight to celebrate Valentine's Day.  When we left the house to go to dinner the roads were pretty clear but it was snowing. 
We picked an Italian restaurant about 45 minutes away.  We had made the reservations in advance and didn't want to cancel because of the weather.  We figured it was just a couple of hours and then we would be heading home.
During dinner we saw out the window that it was snowing pretty hard and it was sticking to the roads already.  Well, the ride home on the parkway was tense to say the least.  The snow was blowing directly at the windshield of the car and the roads were slick.  We had to drive slowly and concentrate to try and see through the snow.  It took a lot longer than usual to get home but when we made the turn onto the road pictured in my blip, we sighed with relief.  We made it home. 

The winds are picking up and the temperature is dropping.  Tomorrow it is supposed to be dangerously cold.  I think we'll be staying in.
