Marjorie's ramblings

Brightening a dark day

Busy, busy today.

First it was committee meeting (after an early start to print off various documents).  Preparations for the Walking Festival are going along apace. We had some fairly frank exchanges about training issues. It was a lively and a good meeting.

Then shopping: first a sandwich and then petrol in Haltwhistle. All the leaflets had gone from the garage.  Then Hexham for Aldi and quite a big shop. Then to the other Marjorie's for tea and chat. We always set the world to rights. M is just starting to get over a nasty chest infection.

Then into Hexham centre taking poster to Cafe Nero.

Finally Waitrose.

At lunchtime, I called at the wonderful Bardon Mill pottery. They took leaflets, as did the shop. Here are some of their seconds.  I've boosted the saturation a touch so you can see more of the wonderful colours, both in the pots and the gravel on the ground.

Nearly forgot to say that I met a number of people I know and had some great chats en route.

At home the plumber has made a date to service the boiler and my new case for my Spanish trip has arrived. It's a North Face holdall on a robust frame with great wheels. Just the ticket!
