Onions

Having seen rozwood1970's blip yesterday made me think about food (which is not unusual as I often think about food); and regardless of the hot weather we are still enjoying, I decided to cook a Jalfrezi Curry for tea. This took most of the afternoon, as all the vegetables had to be prepared, the spices and herbs brought together, the cooking, the tasting etc. etc. The recipe I follow says there is enough for eight, so the two of us shouldn't go hungry and there should be plenty to go in the freezer too.

So it's all ready and we're going to have a late dinner, for us, curry with garlic & coriander naan. Can't wait!

The reason we're having a late dinner is because we are off to a meeting in town regarding the empty land that's been at the end of our road for years. It used to be a very pleasant open green area where people walked their dogs and cut across to Evesham Road. Then the developers fenced it off and it's become an overgrown eyesore. I think they're planning on building houses there, we'll find out at the meeting.

Update: just finished a wonderful curry meal al fresco, now feel well stuffed. The picture is of some Alliums (also known as ornamental onions) in our garden as you missed out on the flowers picture yesterday. The consultation meeting was well attended and noisy. We wait to see the outcome.
