Gitama's World

Kung Hei Fat Choy from the Sheep

I encountered this little guy down by the river this afternoon..he was very happy to pose for a picture and wished me  so sweetly a very Happy New Year (Chinese of course).
There was something so gentle and enigmatic about him I asked him his story.
He (Rupert) proceeded to tell me that at one time he had been very very shy and timid to the point where he could not talk to anyone.
One day whilst he was hiding behind a rock watching the children play Mr Toad came quietly up to his side and joined him. For the first time in what felt like forever Rupert had a conversation without actually knowing that he was having one....it really did feel so natural with Mr Toad.
Mr Toad made a game with Rupert...he would make him some masks and Rupert could wear them and pretend that he was somebody else...that way he could play with the other children and not feel shy about himself.
As time went on the masks got smaller and smaller until it got to the place where Rupert felt totally comfortable being himself (no more masks) and was surprised to find that he was rather popular (my guess is it was his gentle sweet nature) with the other children....and discovered how to have fun and sing funny little songs.

Rupert now does odd jobs for Mr Toad and helps him come up with new and exciting ideas for his magic worlds.
Today....because of this auspicious occasion they made a lovely scene down by the river and Rupert became half a sheep to bestow the Promise and Prosperity of the Sheeps essence on all those that came by.......Kung Hei Fat Choy.

“The proof that the little prince existed is that he was charming, that he laughed, and that he was looking for a sheep. If anybody wants a sheep, that is a proof that he exists.”
Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince

“So many people are shut up tight inside themselves like boxes, yet they would open up, unfolding quite wonderfully, if only you were interested in them."

(Initiation)”
