That was close!

THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU for the hearts and stars for my mum yesterday. It means a lot to me.

In Denmark we have a saying "Gale katte får revet skind", which translates into something like "Fierce cats will get scratched" and it means that if you are reckless or well fierce, then chances are that you will end up getting into trouble in some way.

Beat is maybe not fierce, but very different from any other dog I know. The vet's theory is that he suffered brain damage from lack of oxygene during a difficult birth. He behaves very much like an autistic child - he has very poor social skills (he is wonderful with people, but not with dogs),  he has problems organizing sensations coming from the environment, which means that he takes everything in, which of course is tiring and makes it difficult for him to concentrate for very long and he has lots of stereotyped behaviors - the most noticable is his circling. He has a tree in the garden, which he will run around again and again and again... And also on our walks, he will stop and circle on the spot before he continues walking.

A few days ago, when he was circling his way through the garden, he came too close to some of the plants/tress and he scratched his nose. He also got a nasty wound very very close to his eye. It is a miracle that the eye was not injured. Phew! My poor silly boy! I think it is hurting as he has been extra touchy with the other dogs these last days. Let's hope he feel better soon.

In other news, we woke up to a snow storm this morning and it was snowing/raining all day, whilst I was at work. At 4 pm, when I left the office, the rain stopped and the sun came out. We came home to a beautiful sunset. Honestly - I have not done much editing to this picture. It was that beautiful!

Check out these 2 pictures taken at 7 am and at 5 pm.

See you tomorrow.
