Saying goodbye

A dull, overcast day, turning to heavy rain later.

I watched the rugby in the afternoon - so disappointing that Scotland lost in the final few minutes.

In the evening, we went to my son's house. Our friend Kayleigh, who is a nurse and had lived with my son and his family for three and a half years, has got a new job in Inverness and will be moving there on Sunday. We had gathered for a farewell meal which was very pleasant, but tinged with a sense of sadness. We will see her from time to time - but we will miss her. Kayleigh is the young lady next to my youngest granddaughter, Sophie.
