Stinkin' Invasive Weeds

There's so much scotch broom around here, it drives me crazy. Sure, it's kinda pretty to look at, being bright yellow and all. But it's really tough to get rid of and it's very aggressive, producing over 10,000 seeds per mature plant (which, by the way, can sit in soil for five years and still grow). Technically land owners around here are required to eliminate invasive weeds but I don't see any enforcement of that here, especially when it comes to scotch broom. Apparently it is has won the war on this side of the mountains; on the other side, they take it more seriously because it hasn't taken over to the point of being beyond control.
