The Howff

7.6C with sunny spells and a few showers. Light breeze.

After our main grocery shopping this morning we went into M&S at city quay in Dundee for one or two things and decided we would have a walk in Dundee rather than when we got home. We got Maeve the Deerhound from the car and had a walk up to the Howff which is without doubt our destination of choice for a walk in the centre of Dundee.

Between showers, one of which we were able to shelter from under a fine holly tree in the Howff, there was good bright light. Within the Howff there are several specimen trees and I liked the way the light fell on this one today with a backdrop of buildings I find quite fascinating. The rooftops remind me of places in Paris.

More six nations rugby on telly this afternoon. A good win for Ireland, holding out against a good second half effort from England. Yesterday a good win for Wales against France. The least said about Scotland's second half performance against Italy's world class forwards the better. Tip for our number ten ... make sure to clear the ball into touch at vital moments in the game !
