Towards the Bridges

10.5C bright and breezy with more cloud later in the afternoon. Westerly wind to 23 mph with gusts to 32 mph.

Apothecary7's day off. We went into Dundee, had tea/coffee and croissants in M&S cafe, bought a few groceries, then drove along to Broughty Ferry. We donated some books to the Oxfam shop then moved the car down to the riverside and went for a walk with Maeve the Deerhound. It was blustery as we walked along the riverside path. In the clear light we had a good view up the Tay towards the bridges.

Back at home there was a letter from the solicitor. We phoned and discussed. Things are advancing on our house purchase. Nothing to say things aren't advancing on our house sale.

After lunch Apothecary7 and I took Maeve for a walk. Just a 2 mile loop down to the shore road and round the main road and back home. Time enough to discuss our plans for the last phases of sorting out the loft then roughly planning when we should start packing. We even discussed when to call a removal firm and whether we should go ahead and buy a couple of rugs for the house we are buying in the West. (you guessed?)

In not so very many weeks we will be moving to Campbeltown, Kintyre, Argyll.
and ...
This was clue number one (an interview).
This was clue number two (we looked at houses).

Later we went into the back garden and cleared some of last years sunflowers and chopped out some brambles and did a little tidying. Garden bin day tomorrow, so might as well fill it and get it out for collection.
