Kestrel

This morning I went out with the U3A bird watching group. We went for a walk around Queen's Head as the canal attracts wildlife, the sun was lovely though the wind was still strong.
We saw a lot of birds including tree creeper, long tailed tits and a flock of snipe. This kestrel was sitting on a telegraph pole surveying the fields below. It's always a pleasure to see one but it's sad that there has been such a reduction in their numbers.
