Sunset in Hay

I took a multitude of mediocre shots through the dirty windscreen and couldn't choose what to up load this evening until the sun went down. The sunset was beautiful. We had a late start getting all the last minute things done and such a long journey made us a bit later than we hoped.

We are very grateful to Jean and Brian who are house sitting. Sometimes people go out of our way to be helpful.

Hay is a small town a long way from most places. The signposts started when we had almost 300k to go. That is fine for a large city like Adelaide, but for a dot on the map with a population of about 3000 that is extraordinary. We left home and the "Navman" said continue strait for 150 Km. We made 2 left hand turns, one onto the Newell Highway at a T intersection and the other in Hay. 500+ kilometres and we only turned twice.

The journey continues tomorrow to Natimuk in Victoria.
