A view from Jeanneb

Promising start.

There was a hard frost and a lovely sunrise at about 7.00am. Perfect for an early walk, but the cloud had rolled in by the time we set off for the Two Sides of Wilsden walk.

As a change we did the walk in reverse, so here we are just leaving the woods above Goit Stock and walking towards Middle Bents Farm. I liked the light on the horizon above Wilsden making silhouettes of the trees.

The down side of walking the opposite way was the climb up the field across Bents Lane to Wilsden Hill. At least the frost made the ground firm and the rest of the walk was pretty much down hill after that.

Arriving back home the sun was out again and I thought we were in for a sunny day, perhaps a bit of gardening. But by mid morning the heavens opened and the rain poured.

Think we got the best of the day after all.
