Late Afternoon at Work

It has been a beautiful day, at least from the inside of the library.  Outside the sunny day seemed less glorious as an icy wind blew through the town. 
So here is the view from our coffee room looking at the outside world.
The combination of birch trees and the next-door white building almost always looks good. Today it’s the late afternoon light and the shadows that I like.
Ironically the white building is named "Smaragden", which means "emerald" though a less emerald-like bulding would be hard to find.
