Whispers

There was a whisper that late plum and early cherry blossom could be seen in a local town a few stops along the train line. So the woofer and I set off with purpose, to explore a new place in the hope of discovering the promised colour.  

The day started with blue skies and sunshine so rather foolishly I left home with neither hat nor gloves having discarded my thermal layers too.  Needless to say once we reach our destination the temperature had dropped by a few degrees and it was snowing! We were rewarded however with a lovely glimpse of blossom.

It is certainly  a spot we will return to when sakura season arrives in all its glory but for now we are both warming up on our heated rug! 

Flowers leave some of their fragrance in the hand that bestows them.
