Crocuses

Today’s weather was bright, fine and sunny, so although we needed to go into Bishop’s Stortford for some shopping etc., we tried to spend a large part of the day at home tidying up, in the house (Susan) and in the workshop (Me).  There was not much opportunity for exotic pictures, so it had to be our local flora or fauna; the fauna kept well out of sight.  Today’s blip is therefore that of one of the crocuses that has just burst into bloom in the front garden border.

Due to my tardiness, this is a back blip, Susan was going to photograph this on the following day, but the fauna, which kept well out of our sight (deer) had other ideas and it had been chewed completely off at its base!  I am therefore very glad that I took it at the time.  My choice of blip for today was in fact influenced by these subsequent events
