Quick Trip to South Pacific?

If I made a quick trip to the South Pacific today then I am already back in Aberdeen, though looking at this photograph I have to acknowledge the temptation to stay longer. Blue skies, blue sea and white sandy beach and dunes.

This in Findhorn in the Moray firth. Once upon a time it had an important role in the fishing industry, no sign of that nowadays. We did visit the ice house where ice was stored over the summer so the fish could be packed in ice ready for transportation down to London.

We also visited the Kimberly Inn for a cool refreshing though non alcoholic beer, no ice but ice cold nevertheless. Quite a long drive for a day out from Aberdeen, but eminently doable. We also saw a classic Daimler sports car, possibly mid to late 1960s, absolutely immaculate, possibly better than when it was new!

Aside from that quite a few people sailing, lazing in front of the pub, lazing on the beach or just lazing.
