Leading upwards

This is the Guru Nanak Gurdwara on Smethwick High Street.  It has the honour of being the first and biggest Gurdwara to be established in Europe.  It became operational in 1961 and is described as one of the most influential Gurdwara in the world.

It is a very imposing building and is always full of life.

This is for the Wide Angle Leading Lines challenge as hosted by Hobbs.  I have decided to try to base my Wednesday Blips on Religious Buildings if possible in order to explore the fantastic array of architecture around us which has or had a religious purpose.
