Derelict Hut

10.0C starting dull, becoming misty, then clearing a bit before some light rain started in the afternoon. Wind to 22 mph with gusts to 36 mph.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for our walk before lunch again to avoid the forecast rain. The rain was forecast to arrive around 1pm but it was later than that and so far very light. Forecasters (who haven't resigned) wrong again.

We went up to the church, where we couldn't see as far as the sea, then continued out along the country road towards Scryne. We turned right at Craigmill farm and went down the track to the shore with the sea coming into sight as we got to within three hundred yards or so. The wind was coming off the sea and the waves were roaring in over the rocks.

We turned left at the bottom of the farm track and went towards Easthaven with the idea of a revisit to this little derelict hut which I posted before for the derelict Thursday challenge. Recently I noticed that the area beside it had been cleared and a new fence built at one end of the land it stands on so I thought another shot of it in its derelict condition might be a good idea just in case it is demolished or restored/rebuilt.

We turned back and came home along the cycle path and round in a long loop, heading into Carnoustie then up the main road before turning along for home.
