Life through the lens...

Riding the waves

I think Cornwall has saved the best 'till last!
A glorious, blue sky, sparkling day.

So many photos, but this one taken at Perranuthnoe, our last stop, before coming back  to pack, was the one which stood out, mainly because of the ship in the background. The sun was so bright, that I actually couldn't see very well when I took it.

After buying fish from Newlyn  ( this time a whole Brill, which I will pan fry)  we went to another of our favourite places, Botallack, and walked along the cliff path to Levant.
It was just perfect weather, Sunshine, but with a breeze which was whipping up the waves as they crashed onto the rocks and cliffs below.
This is where many of the scenes of the new Poldark series were shot.
The ruins of the Crown mines down on the cliff. always give me such a thrill. See photo here
For anyone visiting Cornwall I think this is a must place to visit.

Then pasties for lunch, bought in St Just, and on to Sennen. With the tide out a walk along that wide open beach, again with the waves crashing in.
Again a must place to visit.

We have had such a wonderful end to our holiday here in Cornwall.

Looking forward to seeing our friends in Somerset tomorrow, where we will stay overnight, before travelling the rest of the way home on Sunday.

Many thanks for your kind comments, stars, and hearts while we have been away.
Hope you all have a good weekend.
