Peak Eclipse

The very strange and dimming light reminded me about the eclipse, which I had completely forgotten.

I dashed outside with the camera and some neutral density and polarising filters.  I just grabbed a few snaps handheld, but I pretty much caught the peak through a small gap in the clouds.

The light was very strange, and when the sun was behind really thick cloud the eclipse was really obvious even to the naked eye - I know you're not supposed to look at it directly but through so much cloud it was hard to even tell where not to look...

I can see why people in the past thought the world was ending...
