Bottlebrush

A bright, sunny day.

My daughter and our granddaughter arrived for the weekend as part of my wife's ongoing Birthday celebrations. We went out to the Botanical Gardens for a walk and for all four of us to find blips.

My favourite was this Bottlebrush Callistemon which is a small but spectacular evergreen tree or shrub.  Of the family Myrtaceae it is well known as Callistemon or Bottlebrush Tree. It is easy to grow and loves warmth, moisture and sun. It is native to Australia mostly growing in moist soil in open or woodland sites.
