Getting ready

We had a few wonderful hours away yesterday and visited the print-fair at The Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield and also attended the Stanley Jones talk.  Stanley Jones was the founding artistic director of the Curwen Print Studio.  He was delightful and a joy to listen to.

We were a bit short of sleep after our hours spent in A & E yesterday evening but mum seemed good yesterday after the drama, which was a big relief.  I can't help feeling that I ought to write a more about my experience  of calling the 111 service, which isn't fit for purpose and which resulted in  confusion and the arrival of an ambulance with flashing blue lights.  About the good humour of the four hefty ambulance men who crowded into her small bedroom and the three men who went with us in the ambulance and then about the wonderful nurses in the A & E department of Barnsley hospital.  But maybe I'll save that for another time and place.  All seems well this morning, though I suspect mum hasn't slept too well as all seems quiet down the corridor.
