Old favourite

I haven't blipped the Cité de Carcassonne from this viewpoint for quite a while. I liked the clouds, so it seemed like a good opportunity. Taken on the way to Castelnaudary for the third choir concert; colour version here.

The Collégiale in Castelnaudary is huge, and I've never really liked singing in it. The problem today though was the icy blast seeping in from behind us. Despite keeping my jacket on, I've never been so cold when singing -- we were all shivering. Is this really an excuse for messing up in the same two places as we did before though? Not really ... and the basses gave us a spectacularly wrong note in the Vaughan Williams, which we have never had a problem with.

However, the after-concert food was excellent. It wasn't copious, but it was obviously provided by a professional traiteur -- dainty little savoury  tartlets, smoked salmon on toast, tiny squares of foie gras on pain d'épices -- yum! And it was good to warm up.

Yesterday is backblipped.
