Old Signage

We had a bracing walk along the River Tay this morning, as it certainly was not as warm as yesterday.   We admired the big houses on the opposite bank, built high enough up so they don’t get flooded. We then had a wander around the City Centre, before heading for lunch.

After lunch we headed off in search of Elcho Castle, which we found, but alas it was closed.  I have made a note to go back sometime as it looks very interesting.  We then headed to Abernethy in search of the round tower which we also found.  We were lucky that a family had just borrowed the key so they could go up the tower, so we followed them up.  There were great views from the  top, though it wasn’t nearly as clear as yesterday.  We then meandered south through Fife before heading home.

BB was home about 8pm.  He was tired and weary and it sounds like he had a fantastic time.  He brought almost everything back with him and things weren’t too dirty – including him. He was pleased to report that he had used the shower!  He will sleep very well tonight.

These signs and chimneys caught my eye in Perth.
