Full House

This is a rare and uncommon view: the 'away end' at The Falkirk Stadium filled to capacity. It hasn't happened often since our relegation to the Championship league a few years ago. Matches against, e.g. Cowdenbeath, Livingston, Dumbarton and such like have resulted in the North Stand being occupied by, at most, a few hundred 'away' fans most weeks.

But this Saturday's visitors were Hearts and this was the weekend that they could (and did) win the Championship and automatic promotion to the Premiership. Nearly 4000 fans filled the North Stand and half of the main West Stand, with another 4,300 Falkirk supporters making up the near-capacity crowd.

It was a match that Heart of Midlothian dominated and Falkirk just couldn't get into the game - the 0-3 scoreline being a fair reflection of the gulf between the teams. Congratulations to Hearts. Hopefully, the Bairns will lift themselves and get into a play-off spot and, maybe, a few other full-capacity matches at The Falkirk Stadium before the season is out.
