A Spicy Little Number

I walked along the edge of the Nature Reserve with Holly this morning and was assailed by a wonderful aroma.   The Curry Plants (Helichrysum Italicum) are in full flower and the gentle breeze wafted their scent towards us.

Such a lovely fragrance, not quite curry, but aromatic and spicy.   Apparently these are edible and can be used in dishes where only a light fragrance is needed.   We have dried Curry leaves but may try fresh ones sometime soon.

As we headed towards home there was an icing sugar dusting of snow on the Sierra Gador at the back of Almerimar, more rain in El Ejido!

We could not bowl on Monday as one of the mats was wet and the ceiling was still dripping.   Going up later to check to see if we can bowl on Thursday.

After Pilates went shopping and then tonight it's the Quiz.

We had a bag full of green Italian peppers, courgettes and aubergines given on Sunday so its Pisto (Spanish Ratatouille) with Chorizo and pasta tonight.

When we returned this morning it was to the sad news of the crash in the French Alps and my thoughts go out to the relatives and friends who have lost loved ones.
