a lifetime burning

The weather is not at all nice here in the South West today.  Well, the school holidays have started, so what else would one expect!  I've spent most of the day pottering around, not really doing that much.  The weather hasn't encouraged us to want to be outside.

So the blip before you is a little bit sneaky.  It was taken outside in the wet, but with the assistance of a remote flash.  I've not done anything else to it in production, other than a little bit of sharpening and a slight crop.  But that flash was enough to give it the air of having been taken in the late afternoon sunshine.  In reality it is dark and gray and drizzling.  It is also quite windy and trying to keep the flower in focus was interesting!

I hope you are all having enjoyable weekends and that your weather is better than mine!
