Happy Easter

This wonderful little friend is singing to wish you a Happy Easter.

I spent a marvellous couple of hours back at Middleton Hall Lakes, the RSPB reserve.

The herons were really on form - marvellous landings and plenty of action in the heronry.  Even the rooks were well in evidence in the Rookery.  Woody Woodpecker came to the feeders. The new less muddy footpath on the Meadow walk is a fine vantage point for taking shots of the ponies, complete with accompanying egrets.  And there are always the lambs.

Apparently there were avocets (but it was well beyond the muddiest bit) and goosanders - and a brimstone butterfly.

But it had to be the friendly robin, who sang his way on to my page.

Happy Easter - love and peace to all of you.
